If you are serious about losing weight, exercise need to be a part of your plan. Problem is many people have no idea where to begin with exercise.

The question for many becomes is there a best exercise to lose weight? The right combination of exercises can vary from person to person depending on factors like age, gender, medical conditions and overall health.

Although there is no one size fits all exercise, three exercises that work for weight loss are:

A Brisk Walk

If you are struggling with developing an exercise routine to go along with your weight loss plan, start with something simple like walking.

Walking while not as high impact as some other exercises can still help you lose weight and get in shape.

Walking allows you to progress at your own pace. Start with whats comfortable for you and gradually pick up the pace and distance.

Not only is walking good for losing weight, but it has been proven to increase your energy, lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of certain diseases such as type 2 diabetes.

Aerobic Dance

Aerobic dance routines such as Zumba and Hip Hop Abs burn fat and calories which promote weight loss. They also improve muscle strength and circulation of oxygen through the body.

There are other health benefits related to dancing as well. These include reducing stress levels, lowering blood pressure and increasing energy.

When using aerobics as part of an exercise routine you should target at least thirty minutes per session three days or more per week.

Swimming Daily

Swimming is a great way to improve your strength, flexibility and to lose weight.

When swimming, you are working all the major muscles in your body. It is an effective to not only lose weight but to improve your strength and flexibility as well.

For better and faster results add in a healthy meal plan to complement your exercise routine.

One thing you should always remember when exercising is to start your routine with some warm up exercises and end your routine with exercises to cool your body down.

Any of these exercises alone or combined will help you lose weight if done consistently.

Overall, the best exercise to lose weight for you is one that keeps you engaged and motivated to reach your goal.
