There Are Numerous Detoxification Programs Being Offered These Days.

These can be taken in by the body because of a poor diet, a sedentary lifestyle or even by having too many negative thoughts. The environment also produces toxins from the air we breathe, the water we drink and so much more.

Our body also naturally produces its own toxins. In a normal healthy body, these toxins are easily removed. However, with the amount of stress we put our bodies through it becomes harder for the body to remove the toxins on its own.

Meals consisting of fast foods are notorious in making people unhealthy and live shorter lives. Eating too many unhealthy foods can make the body sick or become more prone to being sick.

Although the body has its own way of ridding itself of the toxins, there are times when the toxins far exceed what the natural processes can remove. Detoxification diets have become popular as a way to help the body out in eliminating the toxins within. The Master Cleanse is sometimes known by a variety of names including the Lemonade. These all refer to same liquid diet consisting of lemon juice mixed with maple syrup and cayenne pepper. Although lasting for at least 10 days in some cases, this temporary detox program is stringent in what can and cannot be consumed. It is essentially a fast with a strict set of instructions.

In reality, the lemonade detox program is not for losing weight but for eliminating the toxins from the body. Followers of the program appear to have lost weight because of the limited intake of calories, causing the body to start using the fats and other energy reserves for energy.

As much of the weight lost during the program consists of water, a large percentage of the weight lost comes back even within a few weeks after the program has been completed.

No other alternative ingredients are allowed. Individuals following the diet are only allowed to drink sea salt water mixture during the morning and a laxative tea during the evenings or pure water.

It deprives the body of a number of nutrients. Some specialists do not see it as being healthy in the long run. Although it does help in eliminating the toxins from the body, this rigorous detox program does little to promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Some individuals have remarked that the program will make you feel weak, especially during the first few days. Ending the Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet is also strictly specified as individuals are advised to consume only fruit juices and soups a few days after completing the program.
